My original nature journal that I created last year has been downloaded over 2500 times! Woohoo! I really hope that my journal has been a very small blessing in all your homes. Whether you are homeschooling your children or not, the amount of amazing resources out there for your kiddos is constantly growing. And sometimes it can feel overwhelming because our family can’t afford every amazing printable, bundle, or collection that comes out. Homeschooling can get real pricey real fast. So I will of course be keeping my free journal available to anyone who wants it! But I wanted to update it and add a bit more to anyone who is interested in purchasing it. I have been wanting to open an Etsy shop for years, and now I finally know what I want to create. I am in the middle of working on a few other PDFs that will hopefully be released by next month! These will also be homeschool resources that I wish were out there. Create what you wish existed, right? I really hope you like my newly updated printable kids nature journal!

As of right now, my journal is only available as an instant PDF. I actually really like this option because then you can print out as many copies as you need. Multiple children in your family each need their own journal? Want to print out a bunch for a forest school or homeschool group? You only need to purchase one! I also wanted to keep the price affordable and will be having specials and sales throughout the year. (It is currently $3.00)
Use my coupon code just for my readers MYMOUNTAINWILDREADER for 30% off! Making the journal only $2.10. (code good until the end of April 2021)
You can purchase the new journal HERE.

I like to print ours out on heavy cardstock so my son can use watercolors if he wants. But printing on regular printing paper works great, too!
You can use staples to hold the journal together, or I like to use a hole punch and thread twine through (tie in the back). It gives it a rustic look and makes it easier to turn the pages. Just be mindful of where you are punching the holes so you don’t go through some of the text.
If you are wondering what the differences are between the free journal and the one listed on Etsy… I added 5 more pages to the new journal. There is a scavenger hunt, more pages of observation logging, a quick “how to” practice forest bathing with children, and an updated back cover.
I also included a little bonus! Three nature-inspired bookmarks for you and/or your kiddos. We printed ours on cardstock and then laminated them. These are great to mark pages in your field guides or in the journal if your kiddo is wanting to mark where he left off.
