It has been a beautiful, busy, messy, crazy few weeks since my third baby was born three weeks ago! The first week I stayed home to rest and recover, and had every intention to take two full weeks at home without leaving the house except for appointments. But we have been already taking our family of 5 out on adventures ! We have gone to the farmers market, done some shopping and thrifting, gone out to eat a few times, went on some nature walks, visited a farm, and went to the children’s museum so my almost two year old could get some energy out. I have been using my new Duo Backpack from MomKindess at all of these outings, and I already know this is going to be the diaper bag that will actually last! I am VERY happy with it so far and I think you will love it, too. I have had a lot of diaper bags over the last 10 years of motherhood, and this is by far my favorite. So here are 7 reasons you need the duo backpack diaper bag …

- The bag is the perfect size. Now that I have two littles in diapers, I needed a bag that would fit everything but not be so big that it didn’t fit in my stroller basket or feel too bulky when it’s on my back. The dimensions are 13”W x 16”H x 6.5”D
- The material is a super durable waxed canvas and vegan leather. What’s great about waxed canvas is that over time, it gets a cool patina to it, making it look almost vintage. I chose the grey color because I thought it would work best for a bag year-round. But my second choice would be Laurel, which is a beautiful green. I love the look of the white bag, but I have had a white diaper bag before, and it was not a good choice for us. We are way too messy and outdoors too often!
- The removable clutch is what really drew me to this bag in the first place. I think this is such a cool and unique feature! This super cute vegan leather clutch pops out and includes straps to wear it separately. I put my wallet, keys, a pacifier, and lip balm in this pouch so I can just grab that if I don’t want to bring the whole diaper bag into a store. It’s also really nice that my husband can carry the backpack and I could just grab the clutch if we are going separate ways temporarily at the store or an event. It can also be used as a diaper clutch to store a diaper, wipes, and the changing pad that comes with the bag. I think wearing the bag cross-body style is really cute, and I’m guessing I’ll be using this long after my babies are out of diapers.
- There are 10 pockets! Plenty of pockets is a must in my opinion. There are two insulated pockets inside the bag for bottles or sippy cups, two side pockets for drinks on the outside of the bag, three pockets inside the bag, a large pocket on the front where the clutch slides in, and a laptop compartment that also has another small pocket with a zipper on the outside of that.
- This backpack is Dad-approved. The style of the bag isn’t too girly, the straps are wide, padded, comfy and easily adjustable, making it a breeze to switch back and forth between my size and for my husband. I had struggled to decide which bag to get – the tote or the backpack. I decided on the backpack because I knew my husband wouldn’t carry a tote bag around. I also really like to be hands-free because we do spend a lot of time outside and in the forest.
- MomKindess gives back. They partner with Every Mother Counts, a nonprofit dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe, respectful and equitable for every mother, everywhere. For every Momkindness purchase, they donate a portion of the proceeds to Every Mother Counts.
- It is functional, versatile, so fashionable, and doesn’t look like a diaper bag. The classic style of the clutch and the bag can be used long after you are done needing a diaper bag! And it easily goes from city to mountains to the store.
So far, this bag has really been a perfect fit for our lifestyle. In the same day we could be strolling around downtown and getting coffee, and then by the afternoon hiking through our property or a cool trail on the Blue Ridge. I needed a diaper bag that could go with me everywhere I go, be cute while still really durable, and the perfect size- I think this bag checks all those boxes!
