Last month we celebrated my two youngest with a joint hot wheels birthday party, per their request. They turned 3 and 5, and are both obsessed with all things Hot Wheels and race cars. It was fun putting this one together! It was a hot day, but I think everyone enjoyed themselves. If you have a race car loving kiddo, I hope you can get some inspiration to host your own hot wheels birthday party.

The Food

The Fun
The only game I had planned for this party was a simple obstacle course. The kids had to wear the tire floaty around their waists or necks and go through. I had two relay groups and timed them to see who could go the fastest.

The Decor
We set up our large party tent for shade in the yard, and I am so glad! It was a hot day. I got balloons from Michael’s and tied them to little hot wheels car, however it was a breezy day, so they kept rolling off the table. Woops!

I got a pack of these cardboard signs and put them all over. I forgot to take photos of the one at the end of our driveway that also had balloons- “Yield for Party” and then on the front door I made a sign that said “welcome racers” and a sign underneath that said “start your engines”. Inside I had a “one way” sign with an arrow pointing to the right to direct guests to the backyard where the party was.

The Favors
I made the favor tags on Canva, and filled clear cellophane treat bags with bubbles, a Hot Wheels car, sunglasses, and a couple tattoos

If you want to use the “take one for the road” sign I made, you can download it for free HERE.
And if you want the “write your name on a cup” sign, grab that HERE.
