In this space I share all things motherhood, slow and simple living, homeschooling, and country living.
My story is a long one, but here is the shortest version:
I am married and I have three boys from 1 to 11 years old. I have lived in Illinois, Denver, Montana, North Carolina, and now we are currently in Virginia near the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love my ducks and chickens, I enjoy homemaking and gardening and spending time outside with my family. Needle felting, baking, writing, and reading are my hobbies. We are on year 5 for homeschooling (I have a 6th grader already!) and although there are really tough days, I really do love this life and can’t really imagine it any other way. I created two Wild+Free groups now, and love organizing and leading our homeschool nature co-op. I am passionate about getting my kids outside and observing nature and appreciating creation. Jesus is at the center of our homeschooling journey and my relationship with our Creator has grown immensely over the past two years. I actually just got baptized!
We try to live a more natural lifestyle and turn to plant medicine and herbal remedies first. I have been slowly teaching myself herbalism since 2019 and I am always the one falling behind on hikes because I am foraging or examining a plant and taking photos of it to look up later. I am a DIY kind of mama, I love to throw parties and host, and have been an avid thrifter since before it was cool.
